Lakeland Credit Union hosting drive-in movies this weekend

Lakeland Credit Union will be hosting two drive-in movie events in Cold Lake and Bonnyville this weekend as part of their Member Celebration event, commemorating 80 years in the Lakeland.

The first film being screened is 2019’s animated Addams Family, which will be shown behind the Cold Lake Agriculture Society on Friday night, while Bonnyville’s showing will be for Saturday at the rodeo grounds, and features Dolittle starring Robert Downey Jr.

Parking will open at 6:00pm, and each film is set to begin at 7:45pm. Volunteers will be available to assist with finding a spot, and restrooms will be available for both venues.

There won’t be any concessions open for the events, but both community’s Express Pizza locations will be offering 20 per cent off each pizza, sub, burger, and donair on their menu, while popcorn will be handed out for free courtesy of the banks.

Space will be limited for each event, and work as a “first come, first serve” basis.
