A Battlefords man was remanded into custody after Bonnyville RCMP found him with suspected drugs and a stolen vehicle.

Last Saturday at roughly 8:00am, police received a report from a property owner along Range Road 450 and Township Road 624 that a suspicious vehicle was parked on their property.

RCMP found the man asleep, but the truck was reported stolen from Lloydminster, and cocaine and meth was suspected in the vehicle.

Thirty-one-year-old, Richard Dankoski from Battleford, Sask was subsequently arrested and transported to the Bonnyville Detachment for judicial interim release hearing where he refused to speak to bail and was remanded into custody.

He is facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a controlled substance.

His first court appearance was Tuesday.
