New COVID-19 case in County of St. Paul, four active in Two Hills area

A new confirmed case of COVID-19 has been identified in the County of St. Paul on Tuesday.

This is the sixth total case shown on the Alberta Government’s virus data map, as last week the fifth case of novel coronavirus showed resolved symptoms.

Another new case has been reported in the County of Two Hills.

There is four active cases within the municipality, which has had eight recoveries, and one death.

There remains one active case in Vermilion River County with 12 recoveries.

There are no active cases in the Bonnyville, Cold Lake, Lac La Biche, and Smoky Lake areas.

On Tuesday, 164 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, putting the total number of active cases at 1,398.

Two additional deaths were confirmed, including a woman in her 90s from the North Zone, which extends just north of Edmonton to the northern provincial border, and includes the Lakeland.

There are 50 people in hospital and 10 of those in the ICU due to the virus.
