The Bonnyville Medical Clinic has been ordered into security lockdown for the rest of its regular hours as of 2:00pm Tuesday afternoon.
RCMP officers were on the scene earlier this afternoon but have left the premises at the time of publication.
All scheduled appointments have been cancelled and arrangements are being made for them to be rescheduled.
