St. Paul reports new COVID case, Cold Lake case recovers

The County of St. Paul has one new COVID-19 case on Monday.

The Alberta Government’s virus data map shows this as the fourth recorded case, with the previous three recorded as recovered.

A Cold Lake case previously recorded active case has also recovered, leaving them with only one remaining active case.

The city has had five cases thus far.

Vermilion River County maintains five active cases out of 12 altogether, with seven prior cases having recovered.

Neither county nor Cold Lake have reported any deaths since the virus arrived in the province.

Two-hundred fifty-seven cases have been confirmed in Alberta since Friday.

In her address on Monday, Dr. Deena Hinshaw reported that the province had surpassed over 10,000 patients had recovered from the virus, while also reporting five additional deaths, bringing the province’s death toll to 212.

There has 11,430 confirmed cases in the province thus far.
