Bonnyville RCMP investigating thefts in late July

Bonnyville RCMP have logged over 130 calls between July 25th and 30th, with a series of robberies standing out amongst them.

Police have been investigating a break and enter at a laydown yard near Township Road 615 off Highway 41 for several weeks after a suspect was seen dragging connector cables through the yard at night.

No word yet on what all may have been stolen.

Another break and enter was reported on July 28th when a Bonnyville tire shop had some of its tires and rims stolen from its shop and sea cans.

Two trucks have also been reported as stolen: one on the night of July 26th, a black 2017 Ford F-150, stolen from Muriel Lake View, and the other on the 27th, a white Dodge Ram stolen for the 51st block of 54th Street in Bonnyville.

Surrounding police departments have been notified about the missing Dodge Ram.

There was also a complainant regarding an unwanted male squatting at a vacant apartment on 47th Ave. Officers responded and cleared the area, however they found no signs of unwanted people at the address.
