Two charged after attempted break-in west of Bonnyville
Two people including one youth have been charged after an attempted break and enter in the rural area west of Bonnyville.
Last Wednesday afternoon, Bonnyville RCMP got a call that two people were trying to break into a homeowner’s shed, before driving away on Highway 28.
RCMP said the suspects crashed into a different property’s gate into a field, then fled on foot.
Mounties attended with Police Dog Services and a dog track ensued, but it wasn’t until police received another report about the suspects whereabouts that they were able to find them.
The two charged were also linked to a stolen vehicle.
The charges have not been sworn, so the names of the accused cannot yet be released, but one of them is a youth.
The charges are resisting arrest, mischief, possession of property obtained by crime.
