Fourth active COVID-19 case confirmed in County of Two Hills

A fourth case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in the County of Two Hills, the AHS virus data map shows on Friday.

Yesterday, three cases were reported in a single day, after having no previous COVID-19 infections.

There remains one active infection in the Bonnyville area heading into the weekend, while a third infection has been confirmed in the M.D. of Wainwright, and two are active in the County of Minburn.

There is one active case in the Vermilion River County area as well.

Provincially, 105 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed on Friday, as Alberta’s total active cases jump to 859.

Two additional deaths have occurred in the last 24 hours, putting the death toll at 167, 121 of which were residents at long-term care homes.
