New confirmed case of COVID-19 in M.D. of Bonnyville area
For the first time since May 12, there is an active confirmed case of COVID-19 in the Lakeland area.
The AHS virus data map shows on Monday evening that there is one confirmed case of COVID-19 in the M.D. of Bonnyville area.
This is the first new infection of COVID-19 in the Bonnyville, Cold Lake, and St. Paul areas since April 30, which was the third case in the St. Paul area.
This is the eighth confirmed case of COVID-19 in the Bonnyville area where seven cases previously recovered.
Lakeland Connect previously reported there were four total infections in the Cold Lake area, but the AHS map shows three infections on Monday.
Since Friday, 130 infections have been reported and one death. There has been 156 deaths to COVID-19 in Alberta.
There are currently 607 active infections of the virus.
