Myrnam woman succumbs from injuries in fatal collision in St. Paul

Emergency crews respond to a fatal collision in St. Paul.

An 81-year-old woman from Myrnam has succumbed to injuries stemming from a fatal accident on 50th Avenue in St. Paul on Thursday afternoon.

Police responded at 1:00pm to a two vehicle collision on 50th Avenue and 42 Street in St. Paul.

RCMP said there early investigation revealed a car stopped at the intersection and went south to cross the street and was struck by a westbound truck on 50th Avenue.

Both adults in the car were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

While at hospital, the 81-year-old female driver from Myrnam was pronounced deceased, police said on Friday morning.

The adult male driver of the truck was not injured.

RCMP and collision analysts will continue to investigate.

No charges are anticipated.
