Second man charged in the deaths of Jake Sansom and Morris Cardinal
After consultation with the office of the Crown counsel, the RCMP Major Crimes Unit have arrested and charged Roger Bilodeau (56) of Glendon with second degree murder (x2) of Jacob Sansom (39) of Nobleford, Alta., and Maurice Cardinal (57) of Bonnyville, Alta.
Further review of evidence by the Crown that was gathered during the investigation resulted in the co-accused being charged.
He was remanded into custody after a judicial hearing yesterday and will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on June 18, 2020.
As there have been multiple court appearances of the first accused in this investigation, the RCMP will not be commenting further as these matters are now before the courts.
