RCMP charge four after break and enter in County of Vermilion River

RCMP has charged four people suspected of breaking into a County of Vermilion River farm.

Last month, Kitscoty RCMP and Vermilion RCMP responding to a break and enter finding a truck with a stolen license plate.

After further investigation, Mounties said the suspects had broken into a fenced farm yard and had various break-in tools in the vehicle.

Thirty-five-year-old Megan Atwood, 40-year-old Shane Comerford, 24-year-old Paige Tkachuk and 39-year-old Kenneth Thomas were all charged with break and enter with intent, possession of break-in instruments and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

Thomas was also charged with failing to comply with a probation order. Tkachuk was additionally charged with failing to comply with a release order (x3).

The four accused were released and are set to appear in Vermilion Provincial Court on August 17th.
