Bonnyville lifts water advisory

The Town of Bonnyville lifted their water advisory on Thursday morning.

Residents were asked since Tuesday afternoon to limit their non-essential water use after a mechanical failure at the Water Treatment Plant.

Mayor Gene Sobolewski said it was equipment that lowers the pH of the water that failed.

“We’re having difficulty regulating that the pH in the water for the treatment because, as we all know, Moose Lake is incredibly difficult to treat, particularly in this time of year. So hopefully we’ll get that up and running,” said Sobolewski on The Morning After on Wednesday.

The Town thanks all the residents of Bonnyville for their cooperation over the last couple days.

Any concerns can be forwarded to Public Works at 780-826-3550.
