A Vegreville man has been charged with manslaughter after an autopsy was completed following a sudden death in the town last Tuesday.

RCMP Major Crimes Unit arrested and charged the man on Friday after an autopsy was completed at the chief medical examiner’s office in Edmonton.

Vegreville RCMP responded to a call of 57-year-old John Bijelic injured at a residence in the town.

The injured male was taken to hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.

Fifty-year-old Kevin Vrdolak of Vegreville is now charged with manslaughter in the death of John Bijelic.

He was remanded into custody after a judicial hearing and is set to appear in Vegreville Provincial Court on Monday, June 8.

Police said they are not seeking any other suspects in relation to this investigation.

A Vegreville man has been charged with manslaughter after an autopsy was completed following a sudden death in the town last Tuesday.

RCMP Major Crimes Unit arrested and charged the man on Friday after an autopsy was completed at the chief medical examiner’s office in Edmonton.

Vegreville RCMP responded to a call of 57-year-old John Bijelic injured at a residence in the town.

The injured male was taken to hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
