The Town of Bonnyville through Bonnyville Child & Adolescent Mental Health Clinic is proud to offer a unique day camp program in Bonnyville for targeted youth. The goal is to help youth increase their personal knowledge and life skills in a supportive setting to their unique needs. This Day Camp will operate from July 6 to August 14, 2020. Incumbent must be available from July 2 until August 21, 2020. Up to 18 hours of mutually convenient program preparation is required prior to the start of the day camp. Please note that the program may be subject to change or cancellation due to COVID-19.
The incumbent must have some education or training in child development and equivalencies will be considered.
Candidate must be 18 years of age
Possess a valid OHS Standard First Aid CPC & AED Provide a clear RCMP Vulnerable Sector Clearance
Provide a clear Alberta Children’s Services Intervention Record Check Experience working with children / youth is essential
An understanding of children’s mental health is essential Team leadership skills are essential
Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning day camp program Delivering day camp program
Leading and working as a part of the team Reports to the Director of Community Services
After program review and assessment of the project required Adhere to all safety procedures.
Performs other related duties as required.
This is a casual position 4 days a week with up to 30 hours per week of employment
Wage as per 2020 AUPE Collective agreement $28.49/hr. This position closes: May 31, 2020

Lifting weights exceeding 10 kg and up to an approximate maximum of 20 kg. Walking on uneven surfaces.
