COVID-19 recoveries increase to 87 per cent with just 19 new cases Monday
Eighty-seven per cent of all COVID-19 cases in Alberta have recovered as of Monday while active infections in the Lakeland remain at zero.
Chief medical officer, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, confirmed just 19 new cases of the virus after 3,010 test results.
Three additional deaths have occurred in the past 24 hours, putting the COVID-19 death toll at 138.
Forty-five Albertans are in hospital and five of those are in intensive care.
Fourteen cases have recovered from the Cold Lake, Bonnyville, and St. Paul areas, with six showing resolved symptoms in the Vermilion River County area.
There are 762 active infections in the province while 5,979 Albertans have resolved symptoms.
In the AHS North Zone, which extends just north of Edmonton the northern provincial border and includes the Lakeland, has 20 active cases and 200 recoveries, as of Sunday.
The Calgary Zone has seen almost 70 per cent of total infections.
