Bonnyville pair arrested in Fort Saskatchewan after meth seized during traffic stop

Two individuals from Bonnyville were arrested in Fort Saskatchewan after RCMP made a traffic stop and found drugs and items used to sell drugs.

On May 14, 2020 while conducting proactive patrols throughout the community, members of the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP witnessed a vehicle unable to maintain the centre of its driving lane.

Following a traffic stop, RCMP members entered into a drug investigation and subsequently arrested the female passenger and male driver who was found to be violating his parole.

A search incidental to arrest was completed and the following items were seized: 50 grams of Methamphetamine, digital scale, paraphernalia and cash.

Stacey Moosepayo (37) of Bonnyville was charged with

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

Marjorie Nicholls (36) of Bonnyville was charged with two offences including:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order

Moosepayo was remanded into custody following a Judicial Hearing and is set to appear in Fort Saskatchewan Provincial Court on June 11, 2020. Nicholls was released on cash bail and conditions by a Justice of the Peace and is set to appear in Fort Saskatchewan Provincial Court on July 30, 2020.
