Lakeland residents should keep their eyes on the skies on Thursday afternoon as the Canadian Forces Snowbirds are expected to roll into Cold Lake.

The Snowbirds’ Operation Inspiration continues from Saskatoon to Cold Lake at approximately 1:30-2:30pm, while flying over Lloydminster before heading north toward Cold Lake.

The Snowbirds are expected to journey toward Fort McMurray next before flying past Edmonton.

Routes and times are subject to change depending on the weather, and they ask you follow their Facebook or Twitter accounts for updates on take-off times.

The aerial tour began in Atlantic Canada at the beginning of the month and has flown over the Maritimes, Quebec, Ontario, and Manitoba, before arriving in Moose Jaw on Wednesday.

The Snowbirds are a common attraction at air shows but had paused shows and operations since March 20.
