Bonnyville RCMP investigating thefts over the week
Bonnyville RCMP roundup:
On April 24, a complainant called to report that the cables that are used to run the crusher at REDA have been cut and stolen for the copper.
The complainant had not noticed if anything else was missing, police said.
RCMP is reviewing video surveillance on-site and the investigation is ongoing, and the Bonnyville RCMP would appreciate any reports or tips of activity the public may have noted.

Also on April 24, a complainant called to report his Ford Focus stolen. He last saw it the previous night, got it running, got up this morning and it was gone, police said.
The vehicle went missing from the area of Duclos in Bonnyville.
It is described as a 2013 Grey Ford Focus with body damage.
The vehicle is still outstanding and if the public notes this vehicle around their property to please call 911.

On Tuesday, a complainant reported they were awoken by three loud bangs from her shop.
She was able to see at least a couple of figures inside the shop with a sedan.
Within 15 mins, the sedan left the property and headed east on Highway 28, police said.
Members were on the way and turn around when red sedan spotted on Highway 28 and Range Road 474.
Police tried to close the distance but were unable to apprehend the suspects at the time.
This break and enter occurred on a rural property off highway 28 near Range Road 480.

On April 24, an oilfield theft of cable occurred over the past week.
The complainant stated the approximate dollar amount for the cables stolen was $3000.
Anyone with any information on these ongoing cable thefts who want to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers and provide the information in confidentiality.

On Sunday, Bonnyville RCMP received a call for mischief to a vehicle where it was reported that the windows had been smashed and the steering column damaged.
Member attended and located blood on the driver door, steering wheel and dash.
Vehicle towed to detachment for a forensic identification exam.
This investigation is ongoing pending any possible DNA results.
