Centerfield Music Festival postponed amidst COVID-19 pandemic
The fifth anniversary of Centerfield Music Festival will have to wait another year, as we regrettably announce that this year’s Festival will be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This is a gut-wrenching decision and it has truly been difficult to imagine a summer in the Lakeland without the Festival,” explained Executive Producer Keynon Ternovoy.
“Over the past weeks, we have been in consult with local and provincial authorities and based on the potential health risks involved and the mandated social distancing rules in place for the foreseeable future this has become the decision that had to be made.
“Ultimately, it is the best course of action that will ensure and maintain the health, safety, and well-being of our valued guests, partners, stakeholders, artists, and staff; and we’ll look forward to coming together bigger and better than ever to celebrate through music and a rejuvenated sense of community June 18-19, 2021.”
The postponement will allow the Festival to maintain the goal of solidifying Centerfield Music Festival as a focal point for the Lakeland, Town of St. Paul, and Alberta music Festival scene, and allow its continued growth into a social and economic pillar of the region, a decision St. Paul Mayor Maureen Miller agrees with.
“The health and safety of our citizens, our visitors, the artists, and all parties involved in an event of this magnitude is of the utmost importance…it has been and that remains at the forefront of this decision. We fully support this direction and look forward to a phenomenal event next year.”
Tickets that have been purchased for this year’s event will be honored for the rescheduled dates.
We will be reaching out to all ticket-purchasers over the coming weeks with details in an effort to make this process as seamless as possible; and your patience is appreciated as we work through the re-scheduling of all Festival elements.
Additional event information will become available in the coming weeks at www.centerfieldmusicfestival.com, and their social media channels, and will be updated regularly in coordination with local and provincial public health and safety protocols.
Questions can be directed to info@centerfieldmusicfestival.com.
We would also like to share our support and appreciation for all medical, front-line, and essential workers that continue to be steadfast in the face of this global pandemic as we all work together to get through this.
We will be back in 2021 and look forward to an incredible weekend of music and celebration.
We appreciate your continued support and understanding as we work towards ensuring that we can do just that.
