COVID-19 cases increase by 33 in province on Sunday, status quo in the Lakeland

The case numbers of COVID-19 in the Lakeland remain the same as Saturday with two confirmed cases in the Bonnyville region and one in the Cold Lake region.
There are 18 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Alberta Health Services North zone, which extends essentially north of Edmonton to the provincial border announced on Sunday afternoon, up two from yesterday.
*Thirty-three additional cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed, bringing the total number in the province to 259.
Vermilion River County area, which includes Lloydminster-area, has two confirmed cases and includes part of the Central and North zone.
Of these cases, 18 are currently hospitalized, seven have been admitted to intensive care units (ICU), and one patient has died last week.
There were a total of 11 hospitalizations as of Saturday.
- 164 cases in the Calgary zone
- 60 cases in the Edmonton zone
- 18 cases in the North zone
- 10 cases in the Central zone
- Seven cases in the South zone
The number of confirmed recovered cases remains at three. A longer-term process for determining timely reporting of recovered cases is underway, the province said.
