Bonnyville residents who want to stay informed on municipal issues can now a livestream from council meetings from the comfort of home.
Starting at tonight’s regular council meeting, you can watch a live feed from council chambers on the town’s website and clicking on the live stream icon.
Town council has been working since the beginning of 2019 on getting streaming equipment and setting it up to make meetings more accessible to residents.
The feed will be available for 14 days afterward on the town’s website.
Town meeting’s outside of council chambers will not be streamed as well as the in camera (closed door) portion of regular meetings.
Bonnyville passed their broadcasting policy on Feb. 25.
They meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 6:00pm.
