St. Paul RCMP execute drug search warrant in Saddle Lake
A Saddle Lake resident is facing multiple charges after St. Paul RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Saddle Lake.
On Feb. 26, 2020 St. Paul RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence within the townsite of Saddle Lake. Police located over 50 grams of what is believed to be cocaine along with more then 10 grams of crack cocaine and several pills believed to be oxycodone. Over $1600 was also located and seized along with a pair of brass knuckles and a collapsible baton.
Marcus Cardinal (21) of Saddle Lake was arrested and charged with the following;

Possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Possession of a controlled substance (X2).

Possession of a prohibited weapon (x2).

Possession of property obtained by crime.
Cardinal was taken before a Justice of the Peace and released on a Release Order with conditions to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on March 19, 2020.
Sgt. David Graham of the St. Paul RCMP said “Cracking down on drug dealers is a priority for the community of Saddle Lake. Working with partners in our communities to help tackle these priorities and to ensure public safety is the RCMP’s main objective”.
