Man charged with stolen property possession after running from police
Bonnyville RCMP charged a 29-year-old man with stolen property possession and flight from police on Tuesday.
Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Township Road 604 and Highway 657, where they found a male driving who they knew was on a suspended license and was breaching release conditions.
The male fled and Police Dog Services tracked him to his residence, RCMP said.
A warrant was obtained to enter and arrest the male.
While on the property, police saw items that matched items from a previously reported theft.
A second warrant was obtained and multiple stolen items were recovered.
Christopher Olszowka, 29-year-old, has been charged with multiple offences, including flight from peace officer, dangerous operation of motor vehicle, resist/obstruct peace officer as well as possession of stolen property over $5000.
He has been remanded into custody.
