Elk Point RCMP makes an arrest in two break and enters

On January 30 2020, Elk Point RCMP were dispatched to a break and enter to a residence in the town of Elk Point where a laptop, mail and money was stolen.
On February 09, 2020,  the Elk Point RCMP responded to a break and enter at a local business where the suspect removed the board to gain access. Two speakers were stolen and tracks left in the snow lead to the suspect’s residence where Elk Point RCMP conducted a search warrant and recovered the stolen property.
Cormac Crawford (22) was arrested and charged with the following offences:
6 x Possession of weapon for dangerous purposes.
1 x Carrying concealed weapon
1 x Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.
1 x Fail to comply with probation
2 x Mischief under $5000.
2 x possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.
2 x Break and enter.
1 x theft under $5000
He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Thursday February 13th 2020 in St Paul Provincial Court.
