Flight training overhead Cold Lake next week: 4 Wing

The skies around Cold Lake will be busier than usual next week.

From February 10-14, 4 Wing Cold Lake’s 410 Tactical Fighter (Operational Training) Squadron will conduct flying training near the City of Cold Lake during daylight hours.

To accomplish essential Force Generation Close Air Support Training CF188s will be conducting simulated attack profiles over and around the City of Cold Lake.

“This training is valuable to ensure aircrew are exposed to operating over dynamic urban environments,” the airbase said.

“4 Wing recognizes the sensitivities with the noise overhead and will take precautions to minimize noise as much as possible.”
