Bonnyville RCMP make quick arrest in early morning Break and Enter to Bonnyville Legion

During the early morning hours of February 3rd, 2020, Bonnyville members were called to a Break and Enter in progress at the local Legion. Members were quick to arrive on scene and through the aid of the complainant, excellent security cameras and neighbourhood inquiries, were able to ascertain that the culprit was still inside the building searching for valuables.
Members had surrounded the Legion when the male took off out a side door. A foot pursuit ensued and the male was quickly located inside a local residence.
32 year old Randy CARDINAL from Glendon, Alberta has been charged with multiple offences including; Break and Enter, possess break in tools, obstruction and possession of property obtained by crime. The investigation also led to Cardinal being charged with mischief to another local business; AOK shoes.
Cardinal was held for a Judicial Interim release hearing and released on a $1500 no cash release document and he is set to appear in court in Bonnyville on February 25th, 2020.
