Cold Lake RCMP have arrested and charged a 30-year-old male with vandalizing the Cold Lake First Nations Band Office.
On Jan. 20, at roughly 8:30 a.m., officers were contacted after someone broke the window of the Cold Lake First Nations Band Office.
The suspect attempted to break a window by throwing an object at the band office before departing. According to RCMP, after a failed first attempt, the suspect returned to the scene with a 30-pound dumbbell, which managed to break the window.
After reviewing video surveillance, police have positively identified the suspect as 30-year-old Kieran Machatis of Cold Lake was arrested and charged with two counts of mischief.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
