Over 200 grams of meth off the streets; three charged
Three people have been arrested and over 200 grams of meth was taken off the streets in St. Paul.
On January 2 around 2:45am, St. Paul RCMP members were conducting patrols in the town of St. Paul near Lakeshore Drive.
A member located two vehicles one of which matched the description of a vehicle that had fled from police the night before.
The member attempted a traffic stop and both vehicles failed to stop.
Further patrols of the area located one of the vehicles which had gone off the road and into the ditch.
The occupants from the vehicle had fled from the scene before members arrived. Police Dog Services (PDS) were called and a track was started.
St. Paul RCMP, along with PDS, located two males and one female after an approximately 3-kilometre track.
Upon a search of the vehicle, St. Paul RCMP located and seized 240 grams of methamphetamine and four firearms.
Three of the firearms were determined to have been stolen, two from 2019 and one from 2015.
