Three suspects arrested during rural break-in near Cold Lake

The RCMP has arrested three suspects including one male who was wanted on a Canada wide warrant, following a residential break-in on Jan. 1.

At 3:40 p.m., the Cold Lake RCMP responded to a complaint of a break and enter in progress at a rural property on Range Road 420.

The complainant arrived at a residence and saw an unknown truck at the garage.

RCMP received a 911 call and when they arrived at the residence, the suspect truck was still at the residence.

The RCMP made efforts to block the truck in and maintain containment around the truck and the residence.

A masked male exited the residence, started the truck and rammed the police vehicle.

The male drove the truck towards an RCMP officer who was on foot and at that point other police vehicles disabled the truck.

The male driver was taken into custody.

Two other suspects who were in the residence surrendered and were arrested without incident.
