Tanner “Bulldozer” Boser returns to the octagon this weekend
Bonnyville-native Tanner Boser will fight for the second time in the UFC in South Korea this weekend.
The “Bulldozer” Boser (17-5-1) faces undefeated Ciryl Gane (5-0-0) in UFC Busan in a battle of heavyweights making just their second and third appearances in the United Fighting Championship.
The Canadian is the biggest underdog on the fight card this weekend as a 5-to-1 underdog.
As a preliminary fight, the tentative start time for the bout is 12:00am on Saturday morning.
Boser defeated Daniel Spitz in his UFC debut in October and hoped to fight again before the end of 2019, he said after the victory.
He was originally scheduled to fight in UFC 240 in Edmonton on July 27, but the fight was cancelled because his opponent Giacomo Lemos tested positive for a banned substance and was suspended for two years.
Gane is undefeated in five matches, most recently tapping out Don’Tale Mayes at UFC Fight Night 162.
Boser beat Jared Kilkenny in Unified MMA 37 in May thanks to a leg kick and drew a match with Zaur Gadzhibabayev in March.
