On Oct. 22nd, 2019 at approximately 1:00 pm., St. Paul RCMP responded to a house fire near St. Vincent Lake.
Upon police arrival, the town of St. Paul Fire Department along with the Mallaig Fire Department were on scene fighting the blaze which had engulfed the residence.  The residents were not home at the time and there were no injuries.  The St. Paul fire investigator is assisting with the investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
Sgt. Graham of the St. Paul RCMP added “there was a brief amount of time in which we believed that two family pets had perished in the fire however they were located a short time later in some bushes, scared but alive.  We are happy that everyone was safe and appreciate all the hard work by our local fire departments.”
