There will be four Lakeland candidates at the Open Candidates Forum in Bonnyville tomorrow.

Conservative Party candidate Shannon Stubbs, People’s Party of Canada candidate Alain Houle, Veterans Coalition Party candidate Roberta Graham, and Liberal Party candidate Mark Watson will answer questions posed by the Bonnyville and District Chamber of Commerce and audience members at 7:00pm at Dr. Brosseau school on Tuesday.

“Our mission is to advocate on behalf of business. So we have a really keen interest in knowing what’s happening in the government,” said Megan Wakefield, acting executive director of the Bonnyville and District Chamber of Commerce.

Conservative Party MP Shannon Stubbs is looking for re-election.

People’s Party of Canada Lakeland candidate Alain Houle, right, beside the leader of the new party, left, Maxime Bernier.

“But it really goes deeper than that. The chamber is made up of citizens to live and work in this area, so this is our home. Our members want to know who their elected officials are and where their stances are on the issues that affect us all.”

Three candidates, NDP candidate Jeffrey Swanson, Liberterian candidate Robert McFadzean and Green Party nominee Kira Brunner, will not be in attendance.
