SPRHS golf team comes home with Provincial bronze

St. Paul Regional High School golfers are coming back with hardware.

Blake Gratton, Logan Gratton, Colin Pasitney, and Reid Fedoruk earned bronze medals in Red Deer at ASAA Golf Provincials after shooting a combined 459 strokes between the foursome in two days of golf.

The 3A school sent a female team as well to the tournament which finished 5th in combined strokes.

The École Notre Dame High School girls team, which claimed a zones banner, finished fourth at Provincials shooting a total of 770.

Individually, SPRHS’s Colin Pasitney earned a share of 5th place in the boys category with an opening-round 78 and second round 72.

École Des Beaux-Lacs golfer Justin Gratton played a personal best second round to hit 160 strokes for the tournament to finish tied for 15th overall in the boys category.

St. Paul’s Sophie Pasitney finished tied 8th overall scoring 181 strokes at Provincials.

Bonnyville’s Mia de Freitas didn’t finish too far behind with 193 strokes, tied 14th overall.
