This afternoon at approximately 12:00 p.m., Elk Point RCMP responded to an armed robbery at the Elk Point RV Motel.
A lone male suspect entered the motel in disguise and brandished what was believed to be mace and a knife. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
As a precaution police requested three schools go into hold and secure procedures until it was determined the suspect was no longer in the area.
The suspect is described as:
- Caucasian male
- 6’0 feet
- Wearing blue jeans and blue sweater

Elk Point RCMP investigate armed robbery; suspect at large
