St. Paul RCMP investigating string of mail box thefts

St. Paul RCMP have received multiple calls in regards to damaged community mailboxes in the town and county of St. Paul in the past week.

On Aug. 16, 2019, the St. Paul RCMP received a complaint that multiple community mailboxes were broken into overnight around the town of St. Paul at seven different locations.

On Aug. 19, 2019, it was reported that two mailboxes near Lafond, Alta. were broken into.

On Aug. 20, 2019, it was reported that multiple mailboxes were again broken into around the town of St. Paul at six different locations, it was also reported that mailboxes were broken into at the Foisy General Store.

“It’s important to check your mailbox on a regular basis so as not to leave anything of value inside for would-be criminals” says Sgt. David Graham of the St. Paul RCMP

St. Paul RCMP are asking the public’s assistance for any information in relation to these incidents or identifying those responsible.
