On July 28, 2019, Cold Lake RCMP were called to a business where a female had exchanged a large amount of counterfeit currency.
Jennifer Anne Manuel (31) is facing charges of Possession of Counterfeit Currency, Utter/Export Counterfeit Money and also drug related charges.
Approximately $5000 in counterfeit currency was seized from Manuel, as well as a small amount of drugs which were located on her person. Manuel is to appear in Cold Lake Provincial Court on August 14, 2019 at 10:00 am.
Cold Lake RCMP would like to remind the public to be alert when receiving foreign currency for exchange and to report suspicious activity to local police.
