The Town of Bonnyville Library Board is currently seeking an innovative, collaborative and highly motivated individual to lead our library team as Library Manager. The Bonnyville Municipal Library is a hub of service and information for the people of Bonnyville, the Municipal District of Bonnyville and the Summer Village of Pelican Narrows.
The Town of Bonnyville is an east-central community, 240 km from Edmonton, in the heart of the Lakeland. Our beautiful rural setting is a year-round destination for nature lovers in all seasons.
The Bonnyville Municipal Library is a member of the Northern Lights Library System, The Regional Automation Consortium (TRAC) and The Alberta Library. Reporting to the Town of Bonnyville Library Board, the Library Manager is responsible for identifying, planning, organizing, executing and evaluating an effective program of library service to our communities.
The Library Manager oversees all aspects of library procedures, policies, programs, human resources and the day-to-day financial management of the library. Experience in implementing new services in an ever-changing environment of technology; excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service is required.
Preference will be given to candidates possessing a Library Information Technology diploma or a Master of Library and Information Studies degree from an accredited institution. Other education and library experience may be considered. Supervisory experience preferred.
