Tofield man stopped and charged near Glendon

A 49-year-old man from Tofield faces weapons, drugs and vehicle related charges after a traffic stop near Glendon in the early morning on May 29.

RCMP members saw a rifle in Michael Chapman’s vehicle and proceeded to lay a list of charges on the man.

Chapman was charged with adult weapons possession, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless use or storage of a firearm, failure to comply with a condition of an undertaking, possession of schedule 1 methamphetamine, failure or refusal to comply with an alcohol demand, operating a motor vehicle without registration, and transporting open liquor.

The RCMP could not confirm if Chapman had been released.
