UPDATE: Bonnyville RCMP investigate multiple break-ins

UPDATE:

RCMP have arrested 25 year old Simon Cardinal, of Elizabeth Métis Settlement, in connection to these crimes. Cardinal has been charged with four offenses in relation to these incidents, as well as a number of other offenses relating to other crimes.

At the time of this publication, second person has not been charged in these cases.

BACKGROUND:

Bonnyville RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects involved in three break and enters that took place early Tuesday Morning.

On Tuesday, April 30^th, 2019, at approximately 3:20 am A brown ford truck with four male occupants stole a 2006 White Silverado Truck from REDA located on Highway 660.

The suspects then broke into Fast Gas, located on 50^th Avenue. Both the brown Ford truck and the white stolen Silverado entered the parking lot at approximately 4:35 am. 4 male occupants exit the vehicles. The window beside the front door was smashed in with a wrench. The 4 males proceeded into the store. At approximately 4:39 am both vehicles, with the four suspects inside took off and proceeded west on 50^th Ave.

Minutes later the same suspects broke into Brosseau’s Grocery Store, located on 50^thAvenue. Both the brown ford truck and the white stolen Silverado entered the back parking lot, and smashed the back window beside the door. The males entered the business and fled in the two vehicles shortly thereafter.

The stolen Silverado is was displaying Alberta Licence plate FES608, and had a “REDA” decal on the back driver-side window.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the male suspects. Anyone with information regarding these three break and enters is urged to contact the Bonnyville RCMP at 780-343-7200.
