RCMP investigate fatal collision on Highway 28
On April 6, 2019 at approximately 11:30 am., Cold Lake RCMP and emergency services responded to a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 28 and Range Road 424.
The driver of a grey van travelling eastbound along Highway 28 collided with a tanker truck heading westbound and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the tanker truck was not injured. The scene was contained until approximately 8:30 pm while officers conducted their investigation and crews removed debris.
The cause of the collision is currently under investigation. Road conditions at the time were wet.
