RCMP charge Edmonton man after nearly colliding with police

An Edmonton man has been charged after nearly colliding with an RCMP vehicle.

In the early morning Thursday, RCMP initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle that had stopped past the stop line and almost collided with the police vehicle.

The officer completed a standardized field sobriety testing and the driver.

A drug recognition did a full examination and found conclusively there was evidence for drug impairment.

Ryan Deslongchamps from Edmonton faces multiple charges including possession of property obtained by crime and possession of schedule 1 opioid.
