On March 3, 2019, between approximately 7:30-7:45pm RCMP in Cold Lake responded to a complaint of attempted robbery with threat of violence at 6600 48 Street, the Millenium Meadows Apartments.

A local pizza delivery driver reported that he was accosted in the elevator of the building by an unknown Indigenous male in his 30’s, approximately 5’6”-5’10” in height, 250 pounds, who wore a white jacket with blue jeans.

The suspect demanded money, threatened violence with a weapon, and reached towards his pocket.

The pizza driver delivered a blow to the suspect in self-defense, knocked him down, left the scene immediately, and called the police. The suspect was not located at the scene.

The RCMP are looking for help from the public in this occurrence if you have any information about the investigation you are asked to call the local detachment or Crimestoppers.

The subject may have a black eye.
