AJSH Students Obtain Remarkable Results on Diploma Exams
Two grade 12 students at Assumption Junior/Senior High School had remarkable results this year on the Provincial Diploma Exams (PDEs). Lakeland Catholic School District would like to congratulate Stephine Yearley and Carolyn Ruschkowski on these exceptional results.
Stephine earned 100% on the Physics 30 exam and 99% on the Math 30-1 exam. She also got every question except one correct on the reading comprehension of her English 30-1 exam. Carolyn earned 96% on the Math 30-1 exam.
Deputy Superintendent Pamela Guilbault said, “We would like to honour and congratulate these students on their remarkable achievement.” “We are very proud of Stephine’s accomplishment. She works hard and demonstrates pride in her work, which is evident in the effort that she consistently puts forth” said Assumption’s Academic and Career Advisor Mrs. Lynné Vining. “During her time at Assumption, Stephine has excelled academically and she is a strong positive role model for all of those around her.”
“Stephine is an amazing student with a very bright future,” said Mrs. Elaine Ernst, English teacher from Assumption. “Always surrounding herself with books, Stephine’s love of reading has certainly proved to be beneficial when trying to understand complex literary texts like those she experienced on the Provincial Diploma Exam. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Stephine Yearley!”
“Carolyn is an extremely hard worker with a passion for fine arts and a skill for academics. We are thrilled with her success on the Provincial Diploma Exams this semester” said Academic and Career Advisor Mrs. Lynné Vining.
We are proud of Stephine and Carolyn and the staff and teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 12. It is a team effort and we are really proud of the teachers who set our students up for success.
Stephine has been accepted into the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta. Carolyn has been accepted into the Psychiatric Nursing Program at MacEwan University. Lakeland Catholic School District would like to wish Stephine and Carolyn all of the best in their future endeavours.
