RCMP Bonnyville GIS Unit Seize Drugs, Weapon & Cash

Two Bonnyville men have been charged with trafficking drugs following an investigation by the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment.

On February 15, 2019, The Bonnyville General Investigations Section (GIS), with the assistance of Cold Lake GIS, Police Dog Services (PDS), and the Bonnyville Detachment executed a search warrant in the Southeast part of the Town of Bonnyville in relation to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.  The warrant included the residence and two associated vehicles.  Police located and seized a quantity of cocaine, over $2000 in cash, a shotgun, and other drug paraphernalia typically used in drug trafficking.

Charlie Matthew Josh Houle (24) of Bonnyville, AB has been charged with the following offences;

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking;
  • Possession of proceeds of crime;
  • Possession of a firearm without a license.

Austin Christopher Lloyd Conway (20) of Bonnyville, AB has been charged with the following offences;

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking;
  • Possession of proceeds of crime.

Houle was released by a Justice of the Peace on a Recognizance with conditions to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on March 5, 2019.

Conway was released on a Promise to Appear with conditions to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on March 19, 2019.
