He was released on a recognizance.

A linked investigation led to an additional arrest on Wednesday.

Eastern Albert District Crime Reduction Unit and Bonnyville RCMP charged 22-year-old Wyatt Whitford of Bonnyville with multiple offenses including breach of conditional sentence order, theft of truck, failure to comply, and possession of property obtain by crime.

Whitford remains in custody. His next court date is Feb. 14 in St. Paul.

RCMP say the arrest of Whitford, and TJ Atkinson from a week before, have been linked to eight open investigations and arrests are expected to follow soon.
