Second arrest in ATM thefts
Police have arrested a second male in connection to ATM thefts in St. Paul.
On Jan. 28, 2019, the Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit (EADRCRU) made another arrest in relation to a joint investigation with St. Paul RCMP.
Frank Jackson (20) of Saddle Lake was arrested in relation to break and enters at the St. Paul Boston Pizza and Bingo Hall on Nov. 14, 2018.
Jackson was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Breaking and entering (x2)
- Mischief over $5,000 (x2)
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 (x3)
Jackson was also arrested for multiple outstanding warrants, which included 22 charges.
He was remanded into custody following a judicial hearing and is scheduled to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on Jan. 31, 2019.
RCMP had previously arrested Francis Cardinal (24) of Saddle Lake in connection to this crime. Cardinal was released by a Justice following a judicial hearing and is scheduled to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on Feb. 14, 2019.
