Cold Lake RCMP investigate stolen vehicle with child inside

This morning at approximately 8:00 a.m., Cold Lake responded to report of a vehicle being stolen at a coffee shop on Highway 28 and 69^th Avenue in Cold Lake. A young child was inside while the vehicle was taken.

Fortunately, the child was unharmed and dropped off at the Cold Lake Hospital a short distance away before the vehicle fled the area.

RCMP are looking for the suspect and the vehicle.

The vehicle is described as:

•           Red 2004 Ford Explorer – Sport Trac
•           Hard tonneau cover
•           Chrome running boards
•           AB plate BVR6949
•           Missing drivers side mirror and has body damage

The male suspect is described as:

•           Indigenous male
•           Average build
•           Approximately 30’s years of age
•           Red jacket
•           Sunglasses
