St. Paul RCMP arrest 5 in stolen vehicle; meth and weapons found
On December 26, 2018 at approximately 4:30 p.m., St Paul RCMP members responded to a 911 call of a possible impaired driver on Highway 29 westbound near Range Road 105.
The vehicle was located and an attempt to stop the vehicle was made. Upon the police activating their emergency equipment the vehicle fled.
A short time later the vehicle was again located and turned into a rural property where the vehicle became immobilized in the snow.
Five occupants of the vehicle, three adult males and two adult females, were subsequently arrested without injury to the public, police officers or the occupants.
The vehicle was identified as a stolen vehicle. A search of the occupants and the vehicle revealed a loaded firearm, 11 baggies of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, liquor, a riffle, a machete, several knives, bear spray, a baton and other weapons.
The driver, Kori Larson, of Saddle Lake, Alberta has been charged with one count of possession of stolen property over $5000, one count of possession of stolen property under $5000, Flight from police, Refusal to comply with a bodily fluid demand for impaired driving, Operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and possession of methamphetamine.
Larson was also found to be on 4 arrest warrants out of St Paul, Alberta and 2 arrest warrants out of Edmonton, Alberta.
– Larson was brought before a Justice of the Peace to speak to bail and was released on $3500 no cash bail with conditions.
– Larson’s first appearance in St. Paul Provincial Court is scheduled on January 21, 2019.
Serena Kakeesim of Saddle Lake, Alberta, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property over $5000, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized and possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.
Kakeesim was also found to be on 2 arrest warrants out of Edmonton, Alberta.
– Kakeesim was brought before a Justice of the Peace to speak to bail and was released on an Undertaking with conditions.
– Kakeesim’s first appearance in St. Paul Provincial Court is scheduled on January 21, 2019
Barbara Pasquayak of St Paul, Alberta, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property over $5000, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized and possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.
– Pasquayak was brought before a Justice of the Peace to speak to bail and was released on an Undertaking with conditions.
– Pasquayak’s first appearance in St. Paul Provincial Court is scheduled on January 21, 2019
Chad Makokis of Saddle Lake, Alberta, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property over $5000, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle and failing to comply with a Probation Order.
– Makokis was brought before a Justice of the peace to speak to bail and was granted a $2500 no cash Recognizance with conditions.
– Makokis first appearance in St. Paul Provincial Court is scheduled on January 21, 2019.
Tommy Moosewah of Saddle Lake, Alberta, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property over $5000, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized and possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.
– Moosewah was brought before a Justice of the Peace to speak to bail and was granted a $1000 no cash Recognizance.
– Moosewah’s first appearance in St. Paul Provincial Court is scheduled on January 28, 2019.
