Two charged with first degree murder of Lindsay Jackson

Two people have been charged with first degree murder in relation the disappearance of 25-year-old Lindsay Jackson from Saddle Lake, said the RCMP in a press release Tuesday morning.

Jackson had been missing since Sept. 22.

Jena Lynn Hunter, 26-years-old and Jermaine Eugene Steinhauer, 23-years-old, both of Edmonton were arrested and charged with first degree murder.

Jackson’s body was recovered in the North Saskatchewan River on Oct. 3 near Brosseau, Alberta.

An autopsy was conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Oct. 4. The investigation determined that Jackson’s death was a homicide.

Both suspects have been remanded into custody for a court appearance on Dec. 20 at St. Paul Provincial Court.
